Florida MicroGreens is an indoor hydroponic urban farm and demonstration studio, showcasing vertical hydroponic growing systems. We specialize in wicking and flood and drain systems to grow greens through 7-15 days of growth.
Our hydroponic greens are grown all year long, indoors, in a temperature controlled climate, on vertical racks to take advantage of vertical space, rather than linear space like on a traditional farm. Our “FARM”, is housed inside a typical office building.
FLMG currently delivers to approx 65 restaurants and a dozen country clubs and sells small boxes of greens to the public in Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Naples, Marco Island and the surrounding Southwest Florida area within a 50 mile radius.
FLMG also hosts 1, 2, and 3 day training workshops to teach aspiring farmers from all over the U.S. and beyond hydroponic systems and growing methods, specifically for microgreens and baby greens.
Finally, Florida MicroGreens hosts several special events including popup Farm-To-table dinners showcasing area chefs from all over SWFL, as well as a Summer Science Camp called SWFL Little Leaves Science Camp.
Little Leaves Science Camp is a week long adventure combining education and project-based learning with entertainment designed especially for kids aged 7-14. Designed with Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) based projects, kids work on daily activities that foster problem solving skills, creativity, and collaboration. Taught by the founders from Florida MicroGreens, campers will plant their own microgreen herbs and veggies, discover water culture and chemistry, create hydroponic experiments, Learn about environmental stewardship, as well as plan and help serve a culminating farm-to-table meal just for parents at the end of the weeks camp! At the final farm-to-table dinner, parents enjoy the amazing tastes and flavors of microgreens grown, nurtured, and harvested for the dinner by each camper as well as enjoying presentations from each camper on their activities and projects from the week.
