Shodo is a Japanese word used for the art of calligraphy.

A work of shodo is considered a work of art, like for example a painting. I am fascinated and inspired by shodo and the zen philosophy behind it.

Shodo is essentially an art of movement (and in movement is my experimental technique). With my shodo, I create art with a simple broom. Shodopia is a fusion of the way I paint and the philosophy of the Japanese calligraphy where I explore the connection between east and west culture.
