Join Automotive Curator, James Moss, as he highlights Edison's work on the world's earliest electric vehicles. The presentation will be based around the collections electric tractor. Thomas Edison had worked on a battery to power a car way back in the early 1890s shortly after the first motorized cars came out. He developed a nickel-iron battery to be used in vehicles, which was more powerful than anything previous and was able to last many decades.
