Tying the Knot

Getting married on The Beaches of Fort Myers & Sanibel is as easy as tying a knot. There are only a few simple rules.

Marriage License Information

Contact the Clerk of Courts office (239) 533-5007; www.leeclerk.org to purchase a marriage license. To qualify, both parties must apply in person with proper identification. If either party was previously married, divorce papers, proof of annulment or a deceased spouse's death certificate must be presented.

Beach Regulations

Some beaches in Lee County may require a permit. Call at least 30 days prior to your event.

• Vehicles are prohibited on the beach
